SSP will have our next COVID19 Safe Local Drive on Sunday June 28th to Flamingo.  We’ll take a leisure drive through Everglades National Park ending at Flamingo for a walk and some car photos.

Plan is to meet up at the end of the Turnpike at the Starbucks rear parking lot located at 76 E Palm Dr, Florida City, FL 33034.  We will gather at the rear parking area, but please avoid standing in a large group to not draw attention by Florida City Police.  We will meet at 9 am at Starbucks and we will depart at 9 30 sharp.  Please don’t show up at 9 30 and then expected to then go through the Starbucks drive-thru.

The drive to Flamingo takes approximately 1 hour each way.  Everglades National Park has strict speed limits that we will adhere to…this will be a nice cruise, not a spirited drive like other cruises.  Everglades is open and is charging admission, which can be purchased in advance online here (https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/74278).   Visitor Centers are not open but other services are.  Entrance fees are $30 per car regardless of number of occupants in that car.

We suggest packing a cooler for drinks and food, as there are no concessions available on this drive once we enter the park.
