Trip Descriptions:
State of Maine – This would be a point-to-point trip where we would drive up (or fly and meet up if you wish) to Maine and head up the cost ending in Acadia National Park (https://www.nps.gov/acad/index.htm). We would see lots of the beautiful coastline, eat lots of lobster, and see all the sights in between (https://newengland.com/today/travel/maine/10-prettiest-coastal-towns-in-maine/). The return trip would take us inland for some fun mountain roads.
Back of the Dragon – This would be similar to our trip in 2017 except we’d focus more on the Southwestern corner of Virginia and Southern portion of West Virginia. This would be a home-base type of trip with either a bed and breakfast or a cabin depending on size of group and availability. https://www.backofthedragon.com/
Natchez Trace – This would be a point-to-point trip where we’d take the entire Natchez Trace parkway https://www.nps.gov/natr/index.htm (which is a national park) from its beginning in Natchez Mississippi all the way to Nashville. We did brief portions of this road back in 2016 and it was stunning. We’d hit Nashville and then possibly beyond a bit to the Mammoth Cave https://www.nps.gov/maca/index.htm (and maybe a touch of corvette museum) near Bowling Green, KY.
The Baby Dragon of the Ozarks – This would be a haul West across the Mississippi into Arkansas and up into the Ozarks to hit the Baby Dragon (https://ozarkrides.com/arkansas%20dragon.htm). This trip would combine a point-to-point with a central location. We’d hit the Baby Dragon Road along with many other sights around the area.
Blueridge Parkway / Skyline Drive – This would be a point-to-point leisurely drive from start to finish of the Blueridge Parkway to the end of Skyline Drive through the Shenandoah Valley. We’d stop in places like Little Switzerland (https://www.visitlittleswitzerland.com/) for a day or two to enjoy roads like the Diamondback (https://diamondback226.com/) and the Devils Whip (https://www.motorcycleroads.com/motorcycle-roads/north-carolina/north-carolinas-route-80-aka-devils-whip), along with lots of trails and sights along the way.
Twisted Sisters – This would take us into Texas for the first time hitting several roads, things to see, etc. But most of all this would take us on the Twisted Sisters Road (or three sisters) (https://www.motorcycleroads.com/motorcycle-roads/texas/the-three-sisters-aka-the-twisted-sisters-ranch-roads-335-336337a) Southwest of Austin. There are several cool things along the way to see and do. This would be a haul getting there so we’d make the trip there and back fun, and would be a mix of point-to-point and central location.
Mohawk Trail – Drive the Mohawk Trail (https://www.mohawktrail.com/driving-tours.html)in Massachusetts and many other roads, then loop around and drive the Green Mountains of Vermont (https://www.vermontvacation.com/landing-pages/byways/green-mountain-byway). This would be a point-to-point drive with some smooth curvy roads combined with the occasional aggressive road.
Die-Hard Lets Drive the Piss out of the Cars Tour – Ok this is for all of you who’d rather get a cabin, all hang out morning and nights, and during the day beat the snot out of the cars. I’m listing below multiple locations where we’d get a cabin or bed and breakfast, and hit all the local roads – some we’ve done, and some new one’s we’ve found. This would be a central location and would represent the shortest ride to and from.
