Hey everyone! So while SSP was visiting Everglades City back in March, we were invited as a club to participate in their celebration of the Tamiami Trails 95th Anniversary and Collier County’s Centennial on Saturday April 29th from 10 am – 2 pm. They are having a parade through town where they’ve invited car clubs to participate. The celebration also includes lunches, desserts, laundry cart races through town, and other historical talks and exhibits.
We are going to attend with as many of you that are interested in joining us. We need to give the town car counts by April 14th, so I need your RSVP before then.
We would need to arrived in town by approximately 9 am to be staged and ready for the parade. The drive over Tamiami Trail will take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes without stops, so departure would be around 7:30 with a meet up time of 7 am.
A few of us plan to spend the rest of the day there, hitting an air-boat ride and having dinner and doing things around town., and then staying the night at a hotel in town.
Please let me know if you’re interested in part of all of this. Hotel information will be forth-coming as we make those reservations. Hotels are fairly affordable having an approximate cost of $189 for the Ivy House (as an example).
Hope you all can attend!
